Graduate of Warsaw University’s Faculty of Law and Administration, Master Thesis on the development of franchising in Poland. Finished specialist courses on franchising taught by Professor Martin Mendelsohn at Middlesex University Business School in London.

Since year 2006 he has been a Managing Partner in Academy of Franchising Systems' Development, from 2000 to 2006 a founder and head of franchising department in PROFIT system company. Before that he worked in Coopers & Lybrand and than as an associate in international law office Weil, Gotshal & Manges. In years 2000-2001 he worked as a senior lawyer in Elektrim group. In a period from 2001 to 2007 he supervised legal services to telecommunication companies from Vivendi group in Poland. In that role he was responsible for legal aspects of restructurisation of Elektrim Telekomunikacja capital group in Poland which included, among others, mergers and acquisition transactions of a value exceeding 400 mln euro. In a period from year 2005 to 2007 he was actively involved in a dispute concernig 48% of shares in Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa.


His hitherto professional practice includes most of all:


  • Complex advisory in franchising, agency and distribution, which includes not only legal aspects but also selection of the proper variant for development of network system and drafting the complete documentation,
  • Legal advice and negotiations in private equity/venture capital transactions,
  • Legal advice and negotiations of lease agreements for commercial premises,
  • Managing and supervising restructurization processes and solving shareholders disputes,
  • Legal advice and negotiations of M&A transactions,
  • Advice on legal aspects of information techologies and in particular drafting and opining integration and implementation agreements,
  • Advice with regard to intellectual property and in particular drafting and opining licence agreements and agreements for transfer of copyrights,
  • Legal services to both Polish and foreign companies with regard to civil and commercial law and corporate advice.


Andrzej Krawczyk reprezents Poland in Euro Franchise Lawyers – the prestigious organisation of lawyers specilizing in franchising. He is the only lawyer from Poland listed among international franchise experts in prestigious publication "The International Who's Who of Franchise Lawyers". Member of the Editorial Advisory Board of "International Journal of Franchising Law".

Author of a chapter on Poland in The International Encyclopedia of Franchising Law, the book "How to franchise in Poland", and numerous articles on franchising, company law, and e-commerce published in both Polish and foreign periodicals.

What little is left of his free time is devoted to family, reading books – particularly historical literature, and sports.
